We've rebuilt the map and simulation user interface from the ground up for a faster and cleaner experience.

The new interface brings a smoother map, subtly redesigned controls, and richer result charts to help you explore your simulations more easily. There is also a new automatic dark mode (following your system theme).

Country-aggregated datasets v1.4

The country-aggregated datasets have been extended through to the end of 2024 with a version update to v1.4.

For both the wind and PV models, this includes minor improvements to the model setup, so these new datasets are not fully equivalent to the v1.3 datasets for the years 2019 and earlier. The existing wind and PV v1.3 datasets remain available on the downloads page.

Data for custom simulations extended to 2024

As of today, all the wind, PV, demand, and weather point simulations (as well as the underlying API) run until the end of 2024. Updates to the pre-built country-aggregated datasets will follow in the near future!

Demand models online

As of today, along with the publication of the accompanying paper in Nature Energy, new models for heating and cooling demand are available through the point mode interface and the API.

Pre-generated datasets will soon be added to the country mode interface, while in the meantime, they can also be downloaded from the Demand.ninja website.
